The first SLC girly bike gang

...The FTP hosting our first official weekly ride! I'm so proud of this flyer I could squeal. I'm no graphic designer but I figure it looks pretty good, eh?

I rode around yesterday and gave this flyer to every woman I could find on a bike. I'm excited to get this community growing. Now if only people were just as easy to convince about faith as they are about icecream and bicycle riding.

(and no i cannot eat ice cream but I'm so over it)

GoodReads

I just joined an online book club. Yes I know stop laughing. It's aweosme:

my profile is here
so check it out! You should probably join too because knowledge is important and awesome. There is this group on there that I snagged a membership to called God Books that Don't Suck. How great is that? Oh yeah, and they have a little book shelf widgit thingy for the sidebar of my blog. Super excited about that so I can show off how intellectual I am. haha. Anywhichway check out what I've been reading! If you scroll your cursor over one of the book images it shows you my rating for that book, etc. If ya click one of them you will be taken directly to my review of it.
Anyway check out WWW.GOODREADS.COM if anything.

Bike-IN movie!

A few weeks ago some friends and participated in the first-ever Salt Lake City Bike-IN Movie!

My boyfriend and another part of the cycling community organized it and it turned out great! We had about 20 people who came with us and saw Zohan (lamest movie ever but oh well it was fun). We had a dude in a car meet us out there with these portable speakers he had hooked up to his vehicle. They were loud and booming so we heard the movie great. We'll be doing another one pretty soon. Woo!

It's not that I hate to admit it... It's just that... well... YES. I'm one of them.

The Babbish family have long been great contributors to the world of sports- specifically Golf. My grandpa "Pops" was a world class golfer and he knew many famous people because of the sport. He golfed with President Eisenhower, Bing Crosby, and even Chuck Taylor (used to get 2 pairs of Chucks in the mail for free every year). Now, even, at 93 or something years old, my Pops still golfs 3 times a week. Don't get me wrong, I love sports and I think that athleticism runs in my blood BUT I have never once golfed. My immediate family golfs once in a while but, lately, we have decided to contribute to the world of Croquet and, like I said, YES i'm one of them.

There was a better shot of this last one but for some reason I liked the blurry one better. Anyway, finally getting a chance to go back to the BFH was nice. I didn't stay long but got a chance to see almost everyone that I wanted to. I felt pretty good (not PERFECTLY on top of my game but ok) and had a great time. I'll be back again in November if all goes well. Woo! It's nice to be able to travel again and not be so freaked out that I'm going to be sick and freaking out. Thank the Lord.
