i hate hair

Due to uncontrollable damage done because I don't know how to take care of platinum hair and then dyed it back myself doing a horrible job then going to a salon and asking for super dark brown and then getting SURPRISE! Black.... I am now going to post the progression here. Starting with the current and going backward. Looks like Black is where I'm going to stay. I just want healthy hair!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will never dye it again... well not for a year or so anyway. lame.

What I got now. I like this a lot but I just want it to be longer so I can wear it wavy. I like it blond the best but I have to grow out my hair so it's healthy before attempting it again. Black can be hott right?!

I freaked on the platinum and dyed it back to brown myself. That dark brown lasted like one week before fading miserably to an ash brown. When I finally went to a salon I wanted to keep the chunk that I left platinum which is why you see white on the right side in the picture of black hair.

Beautiful Platinum!

Beautiful Blond!

This hair might look good in the photo but at this point it was just plain yellow. Not a good color in proper light. The cut was nice though. Trying to grow it out now to match that.

Inbetween caramel and blond.

This auburn caramel color was ok. This picture doesn't show it as well as I'd have liked but it's the only one I had.

What I started with. Plain jane brown.

A movement everyone should know!

This is the most beautiful poem I have ever read. It is the poem that inspired my favorite song (of the same title): the third movement of Suite bergamasque by Claude Debussy. Appreciating beauty is worship in itself. I think God listens to this song as much as I do and digs the poem that inspired it. How some people can write music to so perfectly match someone else's words is a marvelous mystery of art and intelligence.. in it's own sense, empathy.

Claire de Lune
by Paul Verlaine (1844 – 1896)

Zombie Prom 2009!

Yes, Tyler and I went to this. You can imagine my excitement when he asked me over the phone "want to go to zombie prom with me?" I'm all like "um.. yes, duh!"

Zombies in love!

Anyway, we went with Zed and a friend of his, Martina. Good old Zed for always telling us about stuff like this! Basically you dress up like zombies and go to this prom. The money raised form ticket sales, the auction, etc, all goes to childhood diabetes research. Tyler and I did some research into zombie makeup and I went out and bought a ton of liquid latex and stuff from a local costume shop. I think our makeup turned out pretty good! Once we got to the prom I think I can seriously say that we were the best made-up there... or at least in the top 4.
Zed, Ty, and Me

The Prom! There were probably around 200 people there

till death do us prom

Zed & Martina

Zombies dancing! haha

woo!
So, yes, I can finally say that Tyler and I went to prom together. What a fun night. We're totally going to do it again next year and bring a ton of friends. Now we can't wait for Halloween!
This whole thing reminds me of a post I wrote for the Snowboarder Order about Zombies here: Holy Week and Death

We could be closer than you know,
Chelsea

The Road

The Road The Road by Cormac McCarthy

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Eerie book if I've ever read one. It was an awesome quick read full of imagination. I wish he gave us a better look at how the situation got so grim, though. It left me wanting more.
