Timpanogos Cave, American Fork, Utah

When my brother Mike came into town to visit, Tyler and I took him on a little trip to the Timpenogas Cave only a valley away from where I live in Salt Lake City. We actually went twice...

The first time we went we rushed up the mountain to the opening of the cave only to find out at the top that we had to buy tickets at the bottom in order to go into the cave. It really didn't matter either way, though, because apparently we didn't get there in time to buy tickets anyway. A half mile sprint straight up a mountain and all for nothing... so sad. Tyler even tried a little bribery on the ranger but it was met with "are you trying to bribe a federal employee?" To which Tyler was like "nooo nooo whatever are you talking about?". In our angst we decided to take our time hiking down the hill and take a bunch of funny pictures/tell really stupid jokes about Bigfoot:
"What does a Sasquach name his babby boy?" "Freddie the Yettie!" HAhahaha
"What is a Yetti's favorite food?" "Spaghetti!"
"Who was Bigfoot's favorite president?" "John F. Ken-yettie!"

SOOOO the next day we actually called ahead of time to make sure we could still get tickets and make the last tour. We took our time getting up the hill and joined up with a few other people to take a tour of this fameous cave. What an interesting experience. Who would have thought that the cave was as long as it was, as cold as it was, and as beautiful as it was!

Mike was the perfect one to share this experience with! Good thing none of us are claustrophobic! I can't even believe that this is only about 40 mins from where I live. Utah is so diverse!

We could be closer than you know,
Chelsea
